2014: Founded and established by Dr. Patricia Pareja Ibarra.
2007 – 2009: Conducted an analysis in the civilian population amidst conflict in the Colombian Orinoquía, focusing on “Detection and early prevention of hearing loss in children.” This led her to advocate before the Congress of Colombia for the implementation of Law 982 of 2005 for her project, aiming to screen children nationwide.
2007-2010: Published scientific work on Neonatal Auditory Screening (TUAN), leading to a health project in Colombia. Notably, the analysis in Arauca department made a significant social and health impact amid conflict, strengthening health actions in the country and contributing to improving auditory health among Colombian children.
2010: Dr. Patricia Pareja Ibarra was recognized as the Specialist of the Year by the International Organization for Scientific and Medical Advances (IOCIM).
2013: Her writings and personal contributions to otolaryngology led her to become a member of the SPIICA project at NASA, where she was recognized and ranked sixth. She also received an Honorary Master’s in Public Health and an Honorary Doctorate in Health from IOCIM in November of the same year.
2017: She completed her Fellowship in Sleep Respiratory Disorders, Snoring, and Applied Rhinology at ISSSTE Constitución in Monterrey, Mexico, obtaining her subspecialty degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Monterrey.
Currently: She is an active member of the Colombian Society of Otolaryngology (ACORL), Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (IAPO), American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), Colombian Association of Sleep Medicine (ACMES), and Antioquia Society of Otolaryngology (AAO).
