Initial Consultation: During the first consultation, Dr. Pareja will evaluate the patient’s nasal structure, medical history, and expectations.
Planning: Using three-dimensional images and models, Dr. Pareja will discuss possible outcomes and available options. A surgical plan will be established that addresses both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the nose.
Surgical Procedure: Rhinoplasty can be performed using open or closed techniques. In an open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made in the columella (the narrow strip of tissue that separates the nostrils) to gain better access to the internal nasal structures. In a closed rhinoplasty, incisions are made inside the nostrils, minimizing visible scarring. Dr. Pareja is an expert in both techniques and will select the most appropriate one according to the patient’s needs.
Correction and Shaping: During surgery, structural deformities such as deviated septum, removal of nasal humps, narrowing of the nasal tip and adjustment of the width of the nostrils are corrected. Recovery:
After surgery, patients will receive detailed instructions for post-operative care. It is common to experience swelling and bruising which will gradually subside.
